Pope Francis visit Asian Countries

Church officials in Timor-Leste are eagerly preparing to welcome His Holiness Pope Francis for a historic three-day visit from September 9 to 11.

Pope Francis will visit the Asian countries of Indonesia, Timor-Leste, and Singapore, as well as Papua New Guinea in Oceania,  from September 2 to 13 this year.

Pope Francis will visit East Timor from September 9 to 11.

Pope Francis to visit Singapore from September 11 to 13 as part of Asian trip.

"A possible visit by the Holy Father to Timor is in preparation. We can't confirm the date yet; it will be announced by the Holy See together with the government, but it is no secret that we are preparing for this possible visit,” said Monsenor Marco Sprizzi, the Vatican ambassador to Timor-Leste.
