A global alliance of environmental and human rights organizations on Thursday, April 10, urged Swiss bank UBS to withdraw its support from fossil fuel projects in the Verde Island Passage (VIP) – a critical biodiversity hotspot – during the bank’s Annual General Meeting held in Lucerne, Switzerland, said a statement from Protect VIP.
