A United States government body has called for India’s inclusion on a religious freedom blacklist over what it described as a “drastic turn downward, with religious minorities under increasing assault.”
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Catholic Church of India has been doing its part in cooperation with authorities to help curb the spread of the virus and reach out to the poor and needy.
Perhaps for the first time in history, church doors remained closed globally to the faithful during this year’s Easter triduum due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
