Vatican News Archbishop Gugerotti appointed Prefect of Eastern Churches Pope Francis has appointed Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti to head the Dicastery for Eastern Churches. He succeeds Cardinal Leonardo Sandri who concludes his service as prefect after serving for fifteen years.
