The Archdiocese of Imphal, which serves the northeastern Indian state of Manipur, participated in an interfaith gathering on December 14 to mourn the loss of lives and pray for reconciliation among the conflicting communities in the strife-torn region.
Bishop Linus Neli said, "All human beings are equal and have blood; we are Christians; we are Catholic Christians; however, look and compare our blood to that of Christ. Christ's blood is the cleansing blood of the world."
Most Rev Dr Linus Neli, DD became the new Archbishop of Imphal after an Episcopal ordination ceremony held at St John Bosco Parish, Maram Khunou of Manipur State in the Northeast State India on December 08, 2023.
