SAINTS NEXT DOOR
Saints are next door. They are not just in the annals of history, on the stain glass windows of churches, adorning attractive picture books or in the movies. They are in your homes, or next door. We ought to discover them. Pope Francis on Good Friday 2020 spoke of medical personnel such as nurses, doctors, and priests who are now serving those affected by the corona virus with great sacrifice. He calls them our ‘Saints Next Door.”
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA) is pleased to launch a new series called Saints Next Door to profile stories of persons whose life is a source of inspiration. They hail from various walks of life and religions. Their stories are seldom told, people rarely notice them. But our RVA language services will feature inspirational persons from Asian countries and beyond. You are welcome to share these stories so that we can make our world a little better. Let the living saints, “the cloud of witnesses” in our midst inspire us to live for others.
Fr. George Plathottam sdb (Executive Secretary, FABC-OSC)
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
