LIVE Streaming of Holy Mass from RVA Chapel to be discontinued from March 27
LIVE Streaming of Holy Mass from the Radio Veritas Asia Chapel will be discontinued from March 27, 2023. This is in response to directives of the Vatican and Bishops' Conferences to mainstream participation in community celebrations, following the weakening of the pandemic.
“The pandemic has weakened … more relaxed health protocols are in place … these circumstances permit us to return to the normality of Christian life, which has the Church building as its home of the celebration of Liturgy," (CBCP Circular No. 22-36, 14 Oct. 2022)
“As much as the means of communication perform a valuable service in the broadcast of the Holy Mass at a time when there was no possibility of community celebrations, no broadcast is comparable to personal participation or can replace it.” (Dicastery for Doctrine of Worship, “Let us return to the Eucharist with joy!” Letter to all the Bishops).
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
