The Reign of God
November 11, Thursday, 32nd Week in Ordinary Time
Daily Readings: Wisdom 7:22, 8:1 & Luke 17:20-25
Just like the Pharisees during the time of Jesus, the people of our time do ask the same question: When will the reign of God come? We have ample examples wherein the Pharisees refused to accept Jesus as the Messiah and rejected Him.
In today's world, people consider God and His kingdom less as a priority. In our time, there are many who prophesy about the end of the world and the second coming of Jesus. They seem to know what Jesus Himself did not know.
Jesus' answer is reassuring for the believers that they do not have to wait for the inauguration of the reign of God as it is already in their midst. It happened when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus is our King, and His reign has already begun. The kingdom lives within us, and it transforms our hearts to be new people here on earth.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
