Inclusivity

Daily Readings: James 4:13-17; Mark 9:38-40
The will of God prevails. The first reading shows discouragement in predicting the future, for only God knows about the future.
The Gospel today speaks of inclusivity. The disciples reported to Jesus that someone was using his name to drive out demons, and they wanted to stop him because he was not with them. He told them upon hearing the report, "There is no one who performs a mighty deed in my name who can at the same time speak ill of me." For whoever is not against us is for us.”
Inclusivity is defined as the practice of creating environments where all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or characteristics, feel valued, respected, and included.
In the Gospel, Jesus values a man's actions, despite not identifying him as a follower. Jesus' ministry is not only exclusive to those who closely follow him; it is also widely open to those who believe in him.
Nowadays, we often hear of inclusivity. Schools are encouraged to practice inclusivity. It means making sure everyone feels welcome, valued, and respected, no matter who they are or where they come from, regardless of gender, religion, status in life, or beliefs.
Call to Action for Catholic Living: We ensure inclusivity, mirroring the gospel. Even though he does not identify as one of his followers, Jesus welcomes the person using his name.
The Lord Jesus helps us to value everyone regardless of gender, religion, belief, and status in life.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
