Barnabas and Paul, continue to preach in some neighboring countries, aside from preaching the good news, they continue the ministry of healing. They could speak that place's language, which amazed the people. Those who witnessed these miracles thought that God went down from heaven in the form of men but they corrected them, saying that they were like them, mortal people but their power was coming from God.

The Gospel for today states that all those who abide by and keep the commandments of God, as well as those who love and follow Jesus, will not be forsaken, instead, God will always be with them. God will send the Holy Spirit to guide them.

Often, we pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance. People believe that the Holy Spirit fulfills the role of God's divine administrator on earth, striving to instill Christ's life in His followers. The Holy Spirit guides us in our prayers and helps us with our weaknesses. The Holy Spirit understands our struggles and needs in life.

When we pray to the Holy Spirit, God's Spirit takes charge, just like what happened to the apostles. When they implement their preaching and healing ministry, God takes over. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the apostles could preach the Gospel by speaking in different native tongues. The Holy Spirit's intercession empowered them to cure people of sickness.

This is the promise of God: if we are faithful to him,  the Holy Spirit will always be with us.

Call to Action for Catholic Living: May the Holy Spirit inspire our actions and decisions.
Lord, may you send your Holy Spirit to guide us always. Amen.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
