Do not be afraid for God is always with us…
November 23, Wednesday of the 34th Week of Ordinary Time
Daily Readings: Revelation 15:1-4; Gospel: Luke 21: 12-19
Jesus continues giving people instructions on how to help themselves when the end is near.
As followers of Christ, they will be persecuted. They will be dragged into prisons. When prosecuted, they will see it as a good opportunity to give testimony.
Their loved ones will betray them. They will be mad enough to put them to death because of Jesus’ name. The name of Jesus will be held responsible for all of society's ills. Jesus’ followers will be blamed for being his promoters.
Jesus promises his disciples salvation if they stay with him no matter what. If they persevere, they will be secure in their lives.
If we don't have a strong relationship with Jesus, we can easily give in to fear and worry. We must realize that conflicts are sure to come. False accusations will be hurled against us. We will be blamed for any disturbance. But fear not, for the Lord Jesus has prevailed and will keep us close to His care and protection.
What are you afraid of that keeps you away from the Lord?
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
