Called to Be Instruments of Christ’s Love
September 10, 2024 Tuesday of the Twenty-third Week in Ordinary Time
Daily Readings: 1 Corinthians 6:1-11; Luke 6:12-19
The Gospel recounts a significant moment in Jesus’ ministry, where He spends an entire night in prayer before selecting His twelve apostles.
These apostles were not the religious elite but ordinary men from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing the inclusivity of God’s kingdom.
Jesus’ choice to retreat into solitude and seek the Father’s guidance underscores the importance of prayer and discernment in making crucial decisions.
This passage invites us to be modern-day apostles, actively living out our faith and serving others. We are all called into a relationship with Christ and a mission to bear witness to His love.
As Jesus spent time in prayer and healing, we too are urged to cultivate our spiritual life and engage in active service.
Call to Action for Catholic Living: Let us follow Christ with dedication and selflessness, becoming instruments of His love and healing in the world. Amen.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
