July 22, Monday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time
Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene
Daily Readings:  SGS 3:1-4B; John 20:1-2, 11-18

Mary Magdalene, often referred to as the "Apostle to the Apostles," holds a special place in the hearts of many Christians. She was one of the first witnesses to Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. Even in His darkest hours, she remained faithful to Jesus, following Him until the end. Her devotion is a testament to the depth of her conversion and the transformative power of Jesus' love.

Mary Magdalene’s life reminds us that God's love for us is not based on our good deeds but on His very nature. His love is pure and unconditional. She remained loyal to Jesus even when others abandoned Him, teaching us the importance of perseverance and loyalty in our faith journeys.

The feast of Mary Magdalene raises a profound question: Are we faithful to God in the most difficult situations in life? We are called to be loyal to Him in all circumstances, no matter how impossible they may seem. But with God, everything is possible.

Call to Action for Catholic Living: Her life inspires us to seek the unconditional love and forgiveness of God. Let us ask for the grace to be like her, faithful and loyal even in the darkest times. May we spread the message of hope and redemption to all those around us?

Let us strive to be devoted disciples of Christ. Amen.
