The annual priesthood day was observed in the Archdiocese of Imphal in the northeastern state of Manipur, India on April 12, 2022.

In the evening, Chrism Mass was celebrated at St Joseph's Cathedral in Imphal, the capital of Manipur.

As many as 135 priests, 200 nuns, and many Catholics participated in the Mass. This was one of the largest gatherings of the priests and nuns amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

Archbishop Dominic Lumon of Imphal was the main celebrant with Father John Kashpri and Father Lazi as concelebrants to lead priests and nuns who serve in the Archdioceses of Imphal.

Priests renewed their ordination vows and their commitment to serve God's people during the solemn celebration of the Chrism Mass.

During the celebration, Archbishop Lumon also blessed the Sacramental oils—the oil of the sick, the oil of Catechumens, and the Sacred Chrism—to be used across the Catholic parishes in the State of Manipur.
