On May 26, Catholics in Thailand celebrated the 40th anniversary of St. John Paul II's state visit to the Kingdom of Thailand.

Holy Redeemer Church in Bangkok is organizing an exhibition from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The exhibition will remain until June 29.

The event was jointly organized by the Thai Apostolic Nunciature and the Embassy of the Republic of Poland.

Pope John Paul II visited Thailand from May 10 to 11, 1984.

Several key officials attended the event, including Artur Dmochowski, Ambassador of Poland; Archbishop Peter Bryan Wells, Apostolic Nuncio to Thailand and Cambodia; Mere Myriam Kitcharoen, SPC, Honorary Chair of the event; and Cardinal Francis Xavier Kriengsak Kovithavanij, Archbishop of Bangkok, among others.

Other religious leaders and members of civil society also participated in the program.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
