Philippines: Yulo siblings pay courtesy visit to Adamson University President after Gymnastics Triumphs
On August 21, gymnasts Eldrew (Grade 11) and Elaiza Yulo (Grade 10) paid a courtesy visit to Adamson University President, Father Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, following their recent achievements in gymnastics.
Elaiza was recently honored by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan with the Most Bemedalled Athlete Award on August 13, 2024, while Eldrew secured a Gold Medal in the Vault event at the 2024 Asian Championship in Uzbekistan.
The Yulo siblings, who are also the younger brother and sister of two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, proudly represented Adamson University in the “Palarong Pambansa,” an annual multi-sport event for student-athletes from 17 regions of the Philippines.
The event, organized and overseen by the Department of Education, has been a platform for showcasing young talent since it began in 1948.
Adamson University, managed by the Congregation of Mission Priests, holds special significance for the Yulo family, as it is where Carlos Yulo himself once studied.
The visit highlighted the university's ongoing support for young athletes and its commitment to nurturing future champions.
