On November 3, 2024, the Krishnagar Diocese in West Bengal, eastern India, celebrated its annual women's day.

More than 500 women from various parishes across the Diocese of Krishnagar in Nadia district of West Bengal state gathered with excitement and anticipation.

The event ran from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and featured a variety of talks, games, and other interesting programs.

Each woman came looking forward to a day filled with inspiration and empowerment, celebrating their unique journeys.

Bishop Nirmol Vincent Gomes, S.D.B. of Krishnagar, celebrated the Mass.

In his homily, he urged all participants to make the courage and effort to learn, grow, and empower each other in families and communities growing in their faith and capabilities.

He also discussed the importance of empowered women in today's society and parish.

“Face all forms of adversity and overcome them with grit, prayer, and the support of each other,” the bishop said.

The annual women's day is organized to show affirmation and encouragement towards Catholic women.
