The Archdiocese of Singapore will hold a memorial Mass for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 1:15 PM at the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd.

The Mass will be celebrated by Cardinal William Goh, archbishop of Singapore.

A live stream of the Mass will be made available at https://buff.ly/8OOtAIC.

Pope Francis died on April 21, 2025, at the age of 88, the Vatican announced.

“In his final days, the Holy Father continued his work of preaching joy and sharing Christ’s all-embracing love, attending the Holy Week liturgies and meeting the faithful whenever he went,” the Archdiocese of Singapore said in a press note.

“His earthly life was full of fervor for Christ’s mission until the end, living out the words of his encyclical “Dilexit Nos” (He loved us), exuding love, and serving with joy,” the press note said. “We thank the Lord for His gift, Pope Francis and his service on earth. Let us pray for the repose of his soul as we commend him into the embrace of our Heavenly Father.”

Francis visited Singapore in 2024, along with Indonesia, East Timor, and Papua New Guinea.

He was the first pope to visit the city-state.
