Filipino Vincentian educator receives ‘Kaibigan Award’

A Filipino Vincentian educator and theologian has received this year’s Kaibigan Award given away by the Philippine National Police, National Capital Region (NCR) Police Office Manila Police District.
The Philippine National Police, NCR Police Office Manila Police District, led by Police Brigadier General Arnold Thomas C. Ibay, awarded the Kaibigan Award to Adamson University President, Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, on March 24 at the Office of the President’s Conference Room.
The Kaibigan Award is presented to individuals and organizations who have made a meaningful impact on the welfare of the community in the City of Manila.
Pilario, a member of the Congregation of the Mission, is a noted educator, writer, theologian, and a Vincentian Catholic priest.
He currently serves as the 7th president of Adamson University. He was a former professor and dean of St. Vincent School of Theology run by the Congregation of the Mission.
Adamson University is a Catholic Vincentian educational institution, a recognized leading center for quality education.
Pilario has actively advocated for social justice, human rights, and human dignity through his teaching, writing, and advocacy. He also champions the rights of the poor and vulnerable communities.
